I was trying to write something perfect on the blog. But it seems like it's giving me so much pressure and making quite tough boundaries by myself, that I realized these days. So I just started to write what I feel, especially with plants, without thinking much.
The winter was very mild through the end of 2021 to 2022. I could leave many of my plants outside in this northern UK region. Aeonium are growing rapidly as they are winter type succulent.
The term ‘winter type’ does not mean ‘strong to the cold climate’. Rather they came from very mild climates like Canary island or Mediterranean Sea, where the winter is the best season to grow for avoiding too strong summer heat.
But even in this cold UK winter, they want to grow as much as they can. They seem to have decided to grow without feeling the temperature outside, or they adapted themselves very well in these climates. I will bring my Aeonium outside again, under my small porch space, to let them enjoy cold winter sunshine.
